Snowballs
BANFF (January 27-29, 2012)
The first four Snowballs trips were such successes that organizers want to again offer a low-cost getaway over a weekend right here in Alberta. The fun begins on the round-trip party bus (yes, they have a liquor license), with movies, prizes, and entertainment, leaving Edmonton on Friday evening with a quick stop in Calgary and returning Sunday evening. Join the group for a weekend in Banff, a leading ski resort with plenty of activities for non-skiers, too. You’ll stay in comfortable 2-bed rooms, walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and downtown Banff.
Downhill skiers will have two hills to enjoy. Lake Louise Mountain Resort is one of the largest ski areas in North America. There is beginner, intermediate and expert runs down from every chair. And Sunshine Village offers over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of over 30 feet! Try your hand at snowboarding or even sign up for a lesson.
Ski all you want, and there’s still time for other activities. Relax in the hot tub, visit Banff’s art galleries and shops, and then enjoy a terrific dinner with new gay friends. Saturday night, the group can dance the night away at the Aurora Nightclub at the White Out Party.
Is it the right vacation for you? Skiers of all levels will find plenty of challenges and excitement in Banff, on both downhill slopes. Non-skiers who enjoy other winter activities, or who simply prefer a relaxing week in the mountains to the usual hectic holiday rush, are equally welcome.
How much for all this excitement? Well you get round-trip transportation, two nights of accommodation, and lift tickets at both hills. That’s a savings of over $100 at regular price! Your meals; drinks; ski equipment rentals or instruction, if needed are not included (although they will give you a coupon for discount rentals). We will be providing continental breakfasts on the bus each morning on the way to the hills.

A $150 non-refundable but transferable deposit will reserve your spot. Final payments are due December 31, 2012. If you don't want to ski at Lake Louise, a -$50 discount applies. We are also planning a trip to Jasper Pride Weekend from February 10-12, 2012. Your $150 deposit may be applied to either the Banff or the Jasper trip.
The Snowballs Jasper Pride Weekend package includes round trip transportation from Edmonton on the Snowballs liquor licensed party bus, two nights accommodation at the newly renovated Chateau Jasper, complementary WiFi, two lift tickets at Marmot Basin, access to the Snowballs hospitality room, the Jasper Pride Weekend Welcome Kit (packed with valuable discounts on activities, dining and shopping), and all fees and taxes. A $150 deposit will reserve your seat with final payment due January 15, 2012.
